Pau Darko is a tree known as the "ant tree" or "lapacho", originating from the jungles of the Amazon River. Pau Darko boosts immunity, resists the introduction of viral particles into the mucous membranes of the nose, throat and intestines, thus helping to prevent colds and viral diseases. The biologically active substances that Pau Darko is a source of, such as beta-carotene, beta-sitosterol, a chemical called "lapahol", also help to activate immune cells, increasing the body's defenses and strengthening health. Medicines and nutritional supplements based on ant bark can be used as aids against flu and colds during the winter season. Its antimicrobial activity helps to increase the number of red blood cells - red blood cells and oxygen saturation of tissues, which favors the most important biochemical reactions. The main contraindications to the use of tree bark is during pregnancy and lactation.
