Latin name - Artemisa vulgaris L.
Description: Perennial herbaceous plant (sometimes semi-shrub). The stem is straight, strongly branched, up to 1.5 m high, the leaves are dark green above, white below, softly hairy. The flowers are small yellow spherical baskets arranged in panicles. Weak odor.
Chemical composition: The drug and its preparations contain essential oil, vitamin C, bitter substances - absinthe, artemisetin; tannins, carotene, lactones, sugars and others.
Attention! The plant is poisonous, has a bitter taste. Caution with its use, prolonged use is not recommended. Do not use during pregnancy and lactation, do not use in children and people suffering from inflammation of the kidneys and ulcers, as it has a strong irritant effect! Admission should be done only on prescription!
Preparation: 1 teaspoon of stalks is poured with 200 ml of boiling water after standing for 2 hours, filtered. The resulting liquid is drunk in 100 ml before lunch and dinner.
