What is Acerola?

Acerola is a large dense bush that is also known as Barbadian or tropical cherry. The fruits of this type of Bush are between 1 and 3 cm in size, and when ripe have a light red color. The fertility of the plant is very low because 90% of the flower falls during flowering. Acerola was first discovered in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula, then bred in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.

Main benefits of acerola extract:

• Natural source of Vitamin C: Fruit is the most concentrated natural source of vitamin C (100 times more than oranges). A good source of Vitamin A (beta-carotene).
