Peppermint oil is obtained by steam distillation from fresh above-ground parts of mint. The most active components are menthol and menthol. There are very few problems that this oil cannot help. It is recommended mainly because of the calming effect on the digestive tract as a result of the ability to reduce muscle spasms. Peppermint oil - method of use
Internally: 2-5 drops daily, dripped on 1 teaspoon of honey are dissolved in a glass of warm water.

Externally: aromatherapy, massage, gargle, inhalations, baths, sauna, vaginal lavage.

Attention! Peppermint oil is harmless when taken orally in amounts commonly found in food, and when used externally. May reduce iron absorption if taken concomitantly with iron supplements. An interval of at least 3 hours is required between doses. Peppermint oil increases the absorption of quercetin when taken at the same time and therefore a 3-hour interval is needed here as well. In case of overdose it causes insomnia!
