A millennial tradition connects the nutrition of Bulgarian people with yogurt rich in lactobacilli. As early as the end of the 19th century, the Ukrainian scientist Ilya Mechnikov made a connection between the longevity of the Balkan peoples and the beneficial effects of yogurt. In 1905, the Bulgarian doctor Dr. Stamen Grigorov discovered that this beneficial effect was due to a stick of lactic acid bacteria, which he called "Bacillus A". Later it was named Lactobacilus Bulgaricus, in honor of the homeland of its discoverer.

Research shows that Bulgaria is a kind of geographical oasis, a source of natural strains of the most favorable lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus, which are the basis of yogurt. Although these two bacteria are also contained in imported yogurts, the concentration of Lactobacillus bulgaricus in Bulgarian yogurt is 4 to 7 times higher than in milks produced in Western Europe. It is this higher concentration that is due to the unique taste and aroma of our yogurt, as well as its unique beneficial properties.

Inulin

Inulin is a type of polysaccharide found in many root crops. The largest amount of this very useful substance contains ground apple and chicory. As a soluble fiber (passing through the body it is converted into a gel), Inulin is not digested in the upper part (stomach and small intestine) of the digestive tract and reaches the colon intact. There, almost completely undissolved, it becomes an ideal food for good lacto- and bifidobacteria. Many scientific studies show that daily use of Inulin significantly increases the amount of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the intestine and leads to a decrease in the amount of pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella, Staphylococci and others. How to use:
