Prolacto Flora, prebiotic and probiotic, 30 capsules, PhytoPharma
A millennial tradition connects the nutrition of Bulgarian people with yogurt rich in lactobacilli. As early as the end of the 19th century, the Ukrainian scientist Ilya Mechnikov made a connection between the longevity of the Balkan peoples and the beneficial effects of yogurt. In 1905, the Bulgarian doctor Dr. Stamen Grigorov discovered that this beneficial effect was due to a stick of lactic acid bacteria, which he called "Bacillus A". Later it was named Lactobacilus Bulgaricus, in honor of the homeland of its discoverer.
Research shows that Bulgaria is a kind of geographical oasis, a source of natural strains of the most favorable lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus, which are the basis of yogurt. Although these two bacteria are also contained in imported yogurts, the concentration of Lactobacillus bulgaricus in Bulgarian yogurt is 4 to 7 times higher than in milks produced in Western Europe. It is this higher concentration that is due to the unique taste and aroma of our yogurt, as well as its unique beneficial properties.
We will list only some of the beneficial qualities of Lactobacillus bulgaricus:
- has high biological resistance in the gastrointestinal tract and significantly long survival - up to 15-20 days after discontinuation;
has a strong antimutagenic effect, which helps to suppress the action of mutagens and carcinogens in the body and absorb them;
surpasses all other bacteria in the production of natural antibiotics;
- Contribute to lowering the concentration of cholesterol in the body. They entrain the cholesterol molecule and quickly direct it to the colon to expel it;
- stimulates the functions of the gastrointestinal flora;
- Bacillus bulgaricus are among the main activators of the immune system.
Lactobacillus bulgaricus taken together with Lb. acidophilus; Streptococcus thermophilus; Lb. Helveticus, effectively competitively inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida and others. and contribute to improving the body's natural immune system.
The only good bacterium in its group, Streptococcus thermophilus, works with Lactobacillus bulgaricus to produce lactase, an enzyme that breaks down lactose and helps lactose intolerant people and improves the immune system.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic that produces lactic acid, which inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria and yeast.
Lactobacillus plantarum retains important nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants from food and helps absorb them.
Bifidobacterium ssp. - helps maintain the balance of the bacterial flora, thus supports the digestive and metabolic processes, and helps to increase immunity.
There is no perfect probiotic that can exert all the beneficial effects at the same time.
Phytopharma has selected a special formula of live lactic acid microorganisms: Lb. acidophilus; Lb. bulgaricus; Lb. plantarum; Streptococcus thermophilus; Bifidobacterium sp. (Bif. Longum; Bif. Bifidum; Bif. Infantis); and added the prebiotic Inulin to it in order to provide you with a multifunctional product for the benefit of your good health.
Inulin is a type of polysaccharide found in many root crops. The largest amount of this very useful substance contains ground apple and chicory. It is also found in onions, leeks, garlic, dandelions and more. As a soluble fiber (passing through the body it is converted into a gel), Inulin is not digested in the upper part (stomach and small intestine) of the digestive tract and reaches the colon intact. There, almost completely undissolved, it becomes an ideal food for good lacto- and bifidobacteria. Many scientific studies show that daily use of Inulin significantly increases the amount of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the intestine and leads to a decrease in the amount of pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella, Staphylococci and others. This quality defines him as a prebiotic. Prebiotics are a type of indigestible nutrients that stimulate and activate certain bacteria in the colon, significantly improving its function. Mention should also be made of the fact that too much Inulin can cause bloating, gas and diarrhea in people who are sensitive to the substance. To these properties, Inulin adds another indispensable - helps reduce our body's ability to produce certain types of fat.
Useful properties of Inulin
• helps reduce toxic metabolites
• contributes to the reduction of liver cholesterol and triglycerides
• helps maintain normal blood pressure levels
• helps to normalize blood sugar levels
• improves the absorption of minerals in the body
• contributes to strengthening the immune system • helps clear the body of toxins and unprocessed food
The food supplement is used as an adjunct to the diet, which:
- provides live active bacteria;
- improves the breakdown of lactose;
- contributes to maintaining a healthy intestinal microflora;
- supports the function of the digestive system.
