Nasal Spray 0,1% Solution, 10 ml, Olynth

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Olynth contains a 0.1% solution of xylometazoline hydrochloride. It is designed to reduce swelling and copious secretion in acute and chronic runny nose, to facilitate the outflow of secretion in paranasal sinusitis and in catarrh of the Eustachian tube of the middle ear in combination with a cold. It belongs to a group of medicines called sympathomimetics and has a vasoconstrictive effect. It can be used by adults and children over 6 years old.

Contraindications:

The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients of the spray and preservative without alkonium chloride. Do not use in children under 6 years of age or in people with heart disease. Do not use in pregnant or breast-feeding women as the effects on the foetus and whether it passes into breast milk are unknown. It is not known whether xylometazoline affects the ability to drive and use machines. Since Olynth spray contains halkonium chloride, its long-term use can cause irritation and swelling in the nose.

Method of use:

The recommended dosage is for adults and children over 6 years: if necessary, 1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day. The dosage depends on the effect and sensitivity. Olynth spray should not be used for more than 7 days. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Warning:

In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, seek immediate medical attention.

Possible side effects:

Side effects with the use of Olynth spray are not common, but still possible: a burning sensation of the mucous membrane, dryness in the nose, nosebleeds, Ribound effect (medicated rhinitis). If you get any side effect talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Halkonium chloride, sorbitol, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dihydrate, disodium edetate, purified water.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children, up to 24 weeks after first opening.
