Description: Perennial herbaceous plant up to 1.5 m tall, with softly hairy leaves, silvery gray. The plant has a pleasant smell and bitter taste. It blooms in July-August.
Chemical composition: Essential oil, which consists of thujole and thujone, alpha-pinene, phenandtrene, azulene, lactones, organic acids, absinthe, anabsintin, arsumin, resins, tannins, phytoncides, the flavonoid artemetin, provitamin A, vitamin B , acetic and isovaleric, succinic, malic acid.
Attention! The plant is poisonous, has a bitter taste. Caution with its use, prolonged use is not recommended. Do not use during pregnancy and lactation, do not use in children and people suffering from inflammation of the kidneys and ulcers, as it has a strong irritant effect! Admission should be by prescription only.
Preparation: 1 teaspoon of the herb is poured with 200 ml. boiling water and leave to soak for 2 hours. Strain and drink 100 ml. before meals, lunch and dinner.
