PRODUCT INFORMATION

Tylol hot has analgesic, antiallergic, temperature-lowering and edema-reducing action of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract. It is due to the active ingredients paracetamol, chlorpheniramine maleate and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Paracetamol relieves pain and lowers temperature. Chlorpheniramine maleate relieves runny nose, edema of the nasal mucosa, redness and hypersensitivity of the eyes. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride reduces swelling of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract.

 

Contraindications:

Do not take Tylol hot if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. Do not take Tylol hot if you have severe liver or kidney disease, if you suffer from diabetes mellitus. Do not take Tylol hot if you are taking MAO inhibitors (to treat depression and other mental illnesses). Tylol hot can only be taken under medical supervision in case you suffer from lung damage, anemia, heart disease, bronchial asthma, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, hypertension.

 

Taking other medicines:

Since Tylol hot contains paracetamol, you should not combine its intake with other medicines containing this substance. This may lead to excess of the recommended daily dose. You should consult a specialist before using Tylol hot if you are taking antihypertensive medicines (to lower high blood pressure) or antidepressants.

 

Food, drink and alcohol intake:

During treatment with Tylol hot, alcoholic beverages or medicines containing alcohol should be avoided.

 

Pregnancy and lactation:

If you are pregnant, think you are pregnant or breast-feeding you should consult a doctor before treatment with Tylol hot.

 

Driving and using machines:

Use caution when driving or operating machinery while taking Tylol hot because it causes drowsiness, dizziness and fatigue.

 

Method of use:

For oral use. The contents of the sachet are poured into 160 ml of warm water and drunk immediately. The interval between intakes should be 6 hours. Do not take Tylol hot for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.

Adults: the maximum daily dose is 4 sachets with an interval of 6 hours between doses.

 

Overdose and dose omission:

If you take more than the recommended dose, contact a doctor immediately. Overdose can be fatal. May cause nausea, vomiting, malaise, sweating, abdominal pain, seizures. Overdose can lead to allergic reactions (redness and rashes of the skin), liver and brain damage, coma and even death, especially in vulnerable groups such as young children, the elderly or certain diseases.

If you forget to take a dose, take it when you have identified the deficiency. If the next dose is approaching, skip the forgotten dose and continue as recommended. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

 

Possible side effects:

If side effects occur, discontinue treatment with Tylol hot immediately and consult a doctor. Side effects related to paracetamol content: redness or allergic reactions with sudden swelling of the neck and face, sudden malaise with a fall in blood pressure, liver function disorders, abnormally low levels of certain white blood cells or platelets which may lead to bleeding gums or nose. Other symptoms are redness of the skin, rash, hives, blood spots on the skin. Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, elevated liver enzymes may occur with not known frequency. Treatment should be stopped immediately, see a doctor and never take medicines containing paracetamol again.

 

Ingredients in 1 sachet:

Active substances: paracetamol (Paracetamol) – 500 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate (Chlorpheniramine Maleate) – 4 mg, pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride – 60 mg.

 

Other ingredients:

Sucrose (17.5 g in 1 dose), sodium (6.3 mmol in 1 dose), lemon flavor, etc.

 

What Tylol hot looks like:

Almost white to yellow granulian powder for oral solution with lemon taste.

 

Storage:

Store at room temperature without direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
