Sumac leaf

Sumac leaves contain tannins, essential oil and others. Sumac has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and hemostatic effects.

Decoction of sumac leaves is used for baths and compresses for difficult to heal wounds and hemorrhoids, for gurgling in inflammatory processes of the oral cavity and for vaginal lavage.

Instructions for use of Sumac leaf:

For baths and compresses, place 50 g of crushed sumac leaves in 2 L of boiling water. Cook for 20 minutes. It stays at room temperature for 60 minutes. Strain through gauze.

Baths and compresses with a decoction of sumac are made 1-2 times a day.

For vaginal lavage, gurgling and gargling, place 2 tablespoons of crushed sumac leaves in 1 L of boiling water. Cook for 5 minutes. Stays at room temperature for 30 minutes. Strain through gauze.

Vaginal lavage, gurgling and gargling with a decoction of sumac are done 1-2 times a day.

The shelf life of the decoction is 12 hours, provided that it is stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 20-80C without freezing.
