Perennial herb with a height of up to 30 cm, the upper part of which consists of a rosette of leaves and a cylindrical, hollow stem, on the top of which is a colored basket. Leaves are improperly cut out, with large tapered portions. The color basket is composed of yellow, pagan colors. The fruit is elliptical.
It grows all over Bulgaria in sandy places, meadows and pastures, on the green areas of parks and gardens.
The roots collected in autumn when the leaf rosette begins to fade is used. The roots are dug, cleared from the finger and root and washed with cold water. After draining the water, the roots are dried.
Dandelion - stalk or root
Application: as an aid in gastric disorders, liver changes, diabetes, bile sediments, hemorrhoids, etc.
Method of preparation:
Dandelion - stalk: Pour 1 tablespoon of stalks with 500 ml of hot water and leave for 1 hour. Strain. It is taken in 3 equal portions during the day before meals.
Dandelion - root: Soak 1 tablespoon of the roots in 500 ml of cold water for 8 hours. Strain. It is taken in 3 equal portions during the day before meals.
