Motherwort is a perennial herb, 50-120 cm high, straight, four-legged, longitudinally grooved, hollow and lined with a stem. The leaves are long, bare and covered with hairs.

It is found in the fields, on the grassy places and along the yards all over Bulgaria.

The overhead part of the plant is used.

Action: in cardiac neurosis, insomnia, early stages of hypertension, cardiosclerosis and others.

Method of preparation: 1 tablespoon of the herb is boiled for 1 hour in 500 ml of hot water. Drain and drink 3 times a day in equal amounts before eating.
