The Latin name of the herb is Flores Lavandulae Angustifolia Mill. (Labiatae / Lamiaceae).
Description: Long-lasting evergreen semi-spruce, high up to 1 m. Stems numerous, in tight tufts; Leaves leaning, lanceolate, elongated, all-round; Colors in multicolored top (long 2-8 cm). Class inflorescences. They are white, pale pink or violet. Blooms in the summer.
Chemical composition: Essential oil, containing linalyl acetate, also contains linalool, neol, borneol, citral, cinnol, coumarin, furfuryl, tannins, organic acids, saponins, mineral salts, bitters, sugars, waxes.
Application: Inner: neurasthenia, insomnia, cardiac neurosis with palpitations, hysteria, migraine headaches. Stimulates digestion, so it is recommended for stomach colic, gout, as well as bronchial inflammation and tuberculosis. Outdoors: As baths it acts soothing in sprains, sunburns, rheumatism. Essential oil, dissolved in alcohol, soothes rheumatic and neuralgic pains.
Preparation: 1 tablespoon of the cut herb is poured with 400 ml of boiling water. After cooling, strain.
Use: in the form of infusion - up to two glasses per day. Outside: in the form of bathrooms.
