The herb is also called a caddy or horse tail. The Latin name is Equisetum arvense.
Description: Perennial herbaceous plant with two types of stems - a brown, unbroken stem grows in spring, ending with a sporozoic class and summer stems with a height of 30-50 cm, with scaly leaves, clustered in the sleeves.
Chemical composition: Triterpenic saponins (egivetonin), carotene, vitamin C, flavonoids (isocvertrichrin, luteolin, equisetrin), tanning substances, resinous substances, silicates (alkaline and alkaline earth), fatty acids, echinaceous and oxalic acid.
Application: Internal: chronic kidney disease, heart failure, gallstones, swelling, bleeding ulcers, hemorrhoids, gout. It also helps with prostate, cystitis, and inflammation of the urinary tract, lung ulcers as a clinical treatment aid. External is used as a gargle potion for inflammation of the throat and mouth, for bleeding from the nose.
Preparation: 1 soup. Spoonful of herb boil in 300 ml of water for 10 minutes.
Usage: internally: 100 ml 3 times a day after meals. Drinks in sips. The exterior is applied as a decoction for gargle and compresses.
